Darts: Unbeaten Ainsty’s ‘A’ game sees off Crescent foes

AINSTY ‘A’ are the only side boasting an unbeaten record at the halfway stage of the York John Smith’s Men’s Darts League division one campaign.

Adam Thompson (20-dart leg), Paul Botterill, (20) and Chris Thompson (19) starred in Ainsty’s 12-4 win at Crescent, for whom Ken Smith (20) and Steve Smith (20) played well.

Despite good displays from Tony Cooper (20) and Rich Saville (21), Shepherds suffered their first defeat of the season, with Daz Meek (17), Eddie Stewart (18, 21) and Steve Spence (180) steering Ainsty ‘B’ to an 8-7 win.

Acomb ‘A’ stayed in second after Andy Rennie (20) and Mark Mason (18) helped them to a 13-2 win at Tree.

Spread Eagle remain the only unbeaten side in divison two after an 11-4 win at Shepherds ‘B’.
