WHITWELL-ON-THE-HILL’S Terry Temple averaged 104.37 in a 5-0 thrashing of South African number one Devon Peterson to claim the latest York Darts Promotions Open title at Acomb WMC.
Temple, pictured, took out legs of 12, 13, 15, 15 and 17 darts to defeat fellow PDC player Peterson and claim the £300 first prize in the final of the event, sponsored by Club & Bar Salvation in association with Streamline Taxis and Red Dragon Darts.
Earlier, Temple claimed two 13 and two 14-dart legs to defeat Joe Cullen, who had thrown two 180s and checked out in 15 darts to book his place in the last four.

John Quantock was another 180 scorer while Temple’s 164 was the biggest checkout of the day.
