FORMER sergeant John Quantock emerged victorious at the YDP Streamline Taxis Help For Heroes Darts Championship.
Quantock, who served for 22 years in the Yorkshire Regiment, defeated Rich Corner 3-1 in the final of the event held at Huntington WMC.
In the only YDP event played on the Yorkshire doubles board, Quantock had beaten Tommy Hair in the semi-finals with Dave Kerr losing out to Corner 3-2 after missing doubles in the other last-four clash.
Corner won all three of the 11-themed fundraising events. He scored 824 points in 111 seconds, threw nine double 11s in 111 seconds and scored 374 points with 11 darts.
More than £500 was donated towards Help For Heroes from the day.

The entry fee, payable on the day, is £5 with the format the best of five 501 legs up to the quarter-finals and the best of seven and nine legs for the semi-finals and final respectively. Blind pairs will also be played, time permitting.
