Mark Allan (180 for 18) and Gaz Witty jnr (16) played well for Cygnet but Slipper ran out 8-3 winners mainly due to Garry O'Reagan (20 and 21) and Shaun Collinge (20 and 21).

Acomb's Heath Scaife (180 and 18), Mark Mason (20), Steve Evans (18) and Lee Brundrett (20) helped their team to a victory at Flag whose Mark Lea prevented a whitewash.

Paul Botterill (19), Paul Dixon (122 bull finish and 21) and Mark Thornton (20) aided Volunteers to a 10-1 win at Britannia, whose only winner was Paul Lane.

Dringhouses players Mick Coupland (19) and Ken Robinson (95 bull finish) couldn't prevent a 9-2 defeat by Crescent whose Paul Keers (19) was their best performer.

Rose's Graham Wilkinson (113 finish), Brian Harden (180) and Jason Addinall (96 finish) helped their team to a shock 9-2 win over Shepherds.

Derwent took all the pairs to gain a surprise 8-3 division two win over second-placed Fulfordgate. Leaders Crescent had Mal Muncaster (22) and Ken Smith (22) in form during their 8-3 victory over Green Trees.

Flag's Steve Headly (22) played well but Slip fought back with Paul Boston-Phil Taylor taking the decider.
