TOP of the John Smith’s Darts League division one Mitre had Rich Corner (2 x 20), Quentin McMaster (17), John Quantock (17, 18) and Lutz Leutzsch (18) playing well, but John Mooring (19, 20 & 180), Dave Gibbons (180 for 12), Tony Cooper (180 for 16) and Mark Hartley (18 & 180) secured a 5-4 win for Shepherds.
Adam Thompson (18), Mark Mason (20) and Steve Atkin (2 x 20) played well for Acomb but St Paul’s secured a 6-3 win thanks to Chris Thompson (15), Paul Cropper (15, 19 & 180) and Paul Botterill (19).
Greyhound’s best were Stu Limbert (18), Steve Limbert (180) and Simon Rimmington (19 & 180) in a 5-4 win at Flag.
Division two leaders Crescent consolidated top spot after Paul Helm (180 for 21), Iain Smith (160 c/o), Steve Smith (100 c/o for 18) and Neil Fairclough (17) helped them to a 9-0 win over Tree.
Britannia closed on second placed Cueball after Mike Harrison (18), Rob Carr (21) and Steve Snowden (22) gave them a 7-2 win.
Division three Derwent had Derrick Adamson (24) and Pete Fowler (24) playing well in a 7-2 win at Fox.
