MITRE extended their lead at the top of division one in the John Smith’s Men’s Darts League with a 7-2 win at Greyhound.
Dave Scaum (180), John Quantock (17, 21), Rich Corner (17, 20) and Lutz Leutzsch (17, 21) sealed Mitre’s win, while Stu Limbert (18) played well for Greyhound.
St Paul’s are joint-second after Craig Wedge (16), Chris Thompson (16, 17) and Paul Botterill (bull c/o for 21) excelled in a 6-3 win over Flag.
The other team tied for second are Shepherds, whose John Mooring (15, 21), Dave Gibbons (2 x 21) and Rich Saville (21) played well in a 6-3 win over Tang Hall. Simon Lansbury (20) and Tony Lansbury (19) offered the best resistance.
Acomb kept up the challenge for runners-up honours, Steve Atkin (19) and Adam Thompson (16) their best in a 6-3 win at Crescent.
Division two leaders Crescent had Iain Smith (160 c/o for 21), Steve Smith (18) and Neil Fairclough (17) on form, but Britannia took the match 5-4 thanks to Steve Snowden (21), Rob Carr (21) and Daz Hoban (20).
Cueball closed on the leaders with an 8-1 win at Turf.
Holgate stretched their lead in division three, beating Fox 7-2.
