RED LION captain Alison Buckley and Jubilee’s Julie Oliver battled it out for top billing in division three of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Buckley checked out 94 (treble 18, double top), but a 70, bull finish from Oliver inspired Jubilee to a 6-3 win.

Leaders Seahorse ‘B’ were taken to the wire by visitors Beagle, but captain Kerry Gray combined with Laura Wood to secure victory.

Second-placed St Paul’s were beaten 7-2 by Leeman ‘B’, with Ann Reagan leading the way in a good all-round team performance.

Double-ton scores from Vivien Netherwood and Kerry MacDonald saw Acomb to a 7-2 win at Leeman ‘A’, whose captain Peggy Rose had a hand in both points.

Bev Lawson’s 23-dart leg helped Walnut Tree to a 6-3 win over Swan.

Shoulder raced into a 4-0 lead over Sun, only for Christine Turgoose and Freda Harman to close the gap. Sue Meek and Jaqui Richford sealed Shoulder’s win.

Division one leaders Cueball ‘B’ raced into a 5-0 match-winning lead against Acomb ‘A’.

Rose Gray started a three-game winning run for Acomb, but Bev Harton and Lynne Clapham teamed up to add to the Cueball tally.

Jo Hodges fired a 23-dart leg in her singles before linking up with Carole Layne to give Clifton the edge over Ox.

Cygnet had Michelle Britton hitting the big scores in their 7-4 win over close rivals Slip ‘B’, who had Babs Harrison hitting the tons.

Slipper’s Doreen Johnson sealed victory over Slip ‘A’, while Toni Smallwood included two tons in a 22-dart leg to help Burnholme to a 6-3 win over Flag ‘A’.

Division two pacesetters Beeswing won all the pairs to overturn a 4-2 deficit against Severus.

Joan Hunter (132, 125) starred for Cueball ‘A’ against Shepherd ‘B’, but they were denied a whitewash by Joan Tee.

Captain Yvette Shepherd (105, 104) led Tap to a 6-3 success against Shepherd ‘A’.

Woolpack had victory over Tramways ‘B’ in the bag before the pairs thanks to Kath Powell, while Tramways ‘A’ were 6-3 winners at Burton Lane.
