MITRE extended their lead at the top of division one in the John Smith’s Men’s Darts League after a whitewash win over Flag.
Rich Corner (21 dart leg), John Quantock (14), Alan Galley (17, 21) and Lutz Leutzsch (20, 21) helped Mitre to their 9-0 away win.
Chris Thompson (20 and 180 for 18), Paul Botterill (15) and Vic Botterill (106 checkout) ensured a 6-3 win for St Paul’s over Crescent, whose best were Rich Plummer (16, 20) and Ron Simpson (180).
Greyhound had Dave Ginty (18 and 180), Stu Limbert (19) and Jamie Harding (20) playing well in a 6-3 win at Tang Hall.
Acomb had Adam Thompson (180), Mark Mason (19) and Keith Turner (180) on form, but Shepherds won 6-3 thanks to Mark Hartley (19), Dave Gibbons (19), Tony Cooper (21), John Mooring (19) and Rich Saville (20 and 180).
Division two leaders Crescent held on to top spot despite going down 5-4 to Turf, whose Gary Whitfield (21) and Martin Whitfield played well.
Cueball’s best players were Rob Sargent (20, 23) and Kris Outerson (97 bull checkout) in an 8-1 win at Shepherds.
Severus had Gary Joy (22), Gary Kitson (18), Andy Alexander (20) and Alan Woodward (23) to thank for a 6-3 win over Britannia.
Fulfordgate’s best was Mark Greenly (22 and 101 checkout for 15) in a 6-3 win over Tree.
In division three, leaders Holgate had Tom Owen out in 21 darts in the narrowest of wins over Tree ‘B’.
