MITRE consolidated their place at the top of division one in the John Smith’s Men’s Darts League.
Rich Corner (14), John Quantock (17, 20 & 180), Lutz Leutzsch (18, 20) and Dave Scaum (17) helped them to a 6-3 win over fellow front-runners Acomb, whose best was Mark Mason (18).
St Paul’s Dave Mason (18), Chris Thompson (14, 16), Paul Cropper (16, 19) and Paul Botterill (180) played well in a 7-2 win over Greyhound, whose best were Stu Limbert (16) and Dave Ginty (18).
Mark Hartley (180), John Mooring (20) and Mark Jones (180) helped Shepherds to the narrowest of wins over Crescent whose Kel Frankel (20 & 180) played well. Flag’s Graham Hudson checked on 106 but Tang Hall won 6-3 Billy Smith checking on 100.
Division two leaders Crescent had Paul Helm (19), Iain Smith (22) and Ken Smith (21) playing well in a 7-2 win over Shepherds. Severus had Gary Joy (20) and Gary Kitson (20) on form but Cueball took the last two pairs to win 5-4.
Britannia’s best were Daz Hoban (21), Alex Renton (22) and Rob Carr (180 for 21) in a 7-2 win over Tree.
Fulfordgate’s Mark Greenley (2 x 21) excelled in a 6-3 win over Turf.
Holgate moved top of division three with a 6-3 win over Derwent, while previous leaders Ainsty went down 6-3 to Acomb.
