FIRING three tons, Michelle Britton led Fulfordgate to a 5-0 match-winning advantage at York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division rivals Ox ‘B’.

Sandra Bruce posted a 25-dart leg for the Ox, who also cleared up in the pairs, but it was too late.

Newly-crowned champions York City Supporters lost by the same 5-3 margin against visitors and second-placed Tramways for whom Carole Layne and Jo Hodges secured victory in the deciding leg. Tracey Farmeary, with two 140s, and Karen Alton (121, 100) excelled.

Marcia ‘A’ ace Pat Cairns was a triple-ton scorer and was joined in match-winning pairs by Babs Harrison to underpin a 5-4 win over their ‘B’ team, whose captain Faye Hawksby hit the tons.

Samie Enderbsy, Laura Gatenby and Lisa Benton shot Acomb into a 3-0 advantage over division two champions Bootham Conservatives Club. However, Dot Trousdale, Jane Barnes and Jackie Church levelled before the Cons ranks cleaned up for a 6-3 win.

The Turgoose contingent at the Sun Inn of mother Alice and daughters Cris and Linda gave them a solid start against division three visitors Leeman, who then hit back through Janet Nelson, Margaret Schofield and Debbie Witts.

The pairing of Judy Williams and Angela Lancaster edged the hosts in front before Chris and Linda Turgoose clinched the win. Charlotte Witts closed 98 in the final pairs alongside Nelson.

Players are reminded that semi-finals will be at Tramways WMC in Mill Street, York, tonight, starting at 8pm.

Meanwhile, York White Rose Ladies Darts League division one leaders Crescent were away to King William.

Crescent won the first game before William took the second through Alaina Nicholl and Carol Atkinson (138). Crescent then went ahead again before Fran Hunt (108) levelled.

Val Mackenzie and Jean Hussein fired Crescent 4-2 up before Carol Atkinson (100) took the last for William.

The only winners for New Earswick were Ann Ella and Margaret Clapham in the pairs against Flag and Whistle ‘A’. For Flag, Toni Smallwood included 100 and 121 in the last game.

In division two, Derwent Arms downed visitors Acomb Sports 6-1. The only Acomb success was Julie Bond, who included a score of 125 and a finish in 24 darts.
