TRACEY FARMEARY gamed in 19 darts, including 140 and 100, to give York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one3 pace-setters City Supporters a 3-2 advantage at Marcia 'B'.

The Marcia ranks had held a 2-0 lead through Shelagh Kenny and Linda Welch.

But Tina Platt, Natalie Farmeary and the skipper turned the tables.

The match was decided in City's favour when Lauren Farmeary and Jayne Janes combined with an 82 tie-winning closure.

Another see-sawing game saw Burnholme come back from 3-0 down to Tramways' successes Carole Layne, Kerry Goodall and Jan Wilberham to level through Caroline Whittaker, Marj Pearson and Sarah Jackson (2 x 100).

Again it was left to Sharon Neads and Carole Salkeld to secure victory in the final pairs exchange.

With two tons apiece, Clair Cooper and Babs Harrison were the inspiration behind Marcia 'A' recovery from 2-1 down at the Ox 'B' to win the remaining games.

Division three leaders Ox 'A' had Abbie Scott gaming in 24, but Saddle captain Doreen England steered her team to a 6-3 win with Kath Powell and Sharon Nelson starring.

Stella Nicholson won the opening leg for Shoulder before Chris Turgoose and her mother Alice put Sun on the board. However, it was the only points they got as the home team stormed ahead without ceding another point.

After Jackie Simpson had won the opener for visiting Severus 'A', division two front-runners Bootham Conservatives Club had Julie Hagyard, Jackie Church and Jane Barnes replying.

Severus captain Glynnis Simpson narrowed the deficit but Hagyard and Kate Barnes sealed victory, which was increased by the axis of Jackie Clemit and Jane Barnes.

Jubilee captain Heather Bulmer was joined by Angela Lancaster to secure match points in their deciding leg against rivals Acomb, whose Roz Richmond hit the tons.
