ALICE TURGOOSE starred as Sun Inn eclipsed Saddle 10-1 in division three of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Turgoose gamed in 22 darts with scores of 130 and 120 as her side won all the singles to secure victory.

Dorothy Barker and Freda Harman added to the tally and Turgoose and daughter Cris Turgoose also won before Saddle’s Liz Jackson and Vicky McClaren prevented the whitewash.

Tracey Scurr closed on 100 to start Jubilee ‘B’s winning run against leaders Castle Howard Ox ‘A’.

Maggie Bedingham, Kelly Williams and Emma Barker all won before Barker combined with Chris Peebles to clinch the win.

Burton and visitors Shoulder were both a player light, but a single-handed pairs win by captain Jodie Dowson sealed victory for the visitors, for whom Ann Parkyn top scored.

Division one pacesetters City Supporters held the upper hand in the singles against Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ thanks to wins for Tracey Farmeary, Bev Harton, Gina Whittaker, Lynne Clapham and Natalie Farmeary.

Division two leaders Bootham Conservative Club had a free week, but Severus ‘A’ were unable to take advantage as they lost at Edinburgh Arms.

Amanda Bevan and Jan Netherwood gave Edinburgh a 2-0 lead, but Sev levelled through Sheila Elliott and Carol Robson.

Julie Stables and Chris Lamb restored the advantage for Edinburgh, but wins for Mavis Gallimore and Sue Richardson then Sue Clark and Davina Shannon set up a decider, which was won by Netherwood and Anthea Jamieson.
