CITY Supporters stayed top of division one in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League after a deciding leg victory over Fulfordgate.

Gate captain Michelle Britton hit a 140 and a 100 in a 22-dart leg, but City skipper Tracey Farmeary replied with a 19-darter and her side led 4-2 going into the pairs after wins for Natalie Farmeary, Sue Turpin and Lynne Clapham.

Britton then fired two tons in the pairs with Jill Reed before Gate levelled thanks to a two-dart 100 checkout from Lynn Thompson in tandem with Dawn Exton.

Tracey Farmeary and Tina Platt held their nerve to win the decider.

Second-placed Tramways were also taken to the wire at Marcia 'B'. Carole Layne, captain Sue Lowery and Jo Hodges won their singles, but Marcia levelled through Linda Welch, Shelagh Kenny and Barbara Russell.

Lowery and Layne put their side ahead again, only to be pegged back by Chris Hayward and Sue Smith, but Karen Alton and Jan Wilberham saw Tramways home.

Sandra Bruce his a 180 and checked out on 70 as Castle Howard Ox 'B' entered the pairs all square at Burnholme. Caroline Whittaker and Carole Salkeld snatch the win for the hosts.

Severus 'B's Sharon Mountain closed on a two-dart 98 - treble 20, double 19 - in their narrow division two defeat at Green Tree.

Janine Cartwright and Kerry Humble teams up to seal the points.

Leaders Bootham Cons Club had victory sewn up in the singles at Edinburgh, while Severus 'A' had Davina Shannon gaming in 25 darts as they beat Acomb.

Division three front-runners Castle Howard Ox 'A' went down by the narrowest of margins against visitors Leeman.

Debbie and Charlotte Witts secured match points for Leeman.

Jubilee 'B' enjoyed a clean sweep in the singles en route to a big victory over Sun, while Saddle fought back from 4-2 down to win a decider against Burton WMC, Chris Patterson and Vicky McClaren the match-winners.
