KING William fired the big scores but still went down 4-3 at home to Crescent ‘B’ in division one of the York White Rose Ladies Darts League.

The hosts took the four-hand through Carol Atkinson, Miriam Hill (100), Brenda Bainbridge and Teresa Walker.

Pat Hurst and Jean Hussein teamed up to win the next for Crescent, but Carol Atkinson (100) and Brenda Bainbrige edged William in front.

Crescent’s hit back to go 3-2 up with wins for Pat Hurst and Jean Hussein.

Atkinson levelled and Walker hit a ton in the decider, only to lose to Liza Moore.

Derwent’s only winner in a 6-1 defeat at home to Flag & Whistle was Claire Rowsby, who hit a ton.

Flag’s big scorers were Tamara Ferguson (105) and Claire Boyce (100).

Lord Nelson beat The Ebor 4-3, with Amanda Willoughby hitting 107 in the four-hand.

In division two, Mary Thornton won the decider as New Earswick Bowls beat Crescent ‘A’ 4-3.

The Mitre took the first three games en route to a 5-2 success at home to Acomb Sports, with big scores from Barbara Paton (112), Tracey Prangnell (101) and Pat Drake (124).
