LEADERS City Supporters raced to a 7-2 victory over Tramways in division one of the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

Tracey Farmeary fired a 20-dart leg and joined Natalie Farmeary in hitting two tons as City shot into a 3-0 lead.

Carole Layne put Tramways on the board, but Bev Harton, Tina Platt and Sue Turpin also weighed in for the visitors, who also added two pairs points to their tally.

Defeat for Tramways allowed Five Lions to move into second place after their 7-2 win at Bootham Conservative Club.

Jill Reed, Dawn Exton and Michelle Britton put Lions 3-0 up before Jane Barnes and Julia Hagyard narrowed the gap. However, it was all Lions from that point.

Captain Di Moreland hit an 86 bull finish to inspire Marcia 'A' to a 6-3 win over Slipper, who had led 2-0 with Karen Smith and Doreen Johnstone shining.

Becky Thompson and Carol Perrett added to Moreland's win and, despite Anita Adams levelling at 3-3, Marcia clinched a clean sweep in the pairs.

Good scoring from Denise Fowler, Maggie Tottie and Sue Tate helped Magnet to an 8-1 victory over Edinburgh Arms, whose lone point came from Amanda Bevan and Emma Frankland's pairs win.

Burnholme raced into a 5-0 lead over visitors Marcia 'B', with Jane Dobson, Marj Pearson, Sarh Jackson, Sharon Neads and Lynne Willstrop helping to seal a 7-2 victory.

Sarah Rankeillor and Rose Gray secured a 5-4 win for Acomb at Severus 'A'. Gray hit two ton-plus scores.

Division two leaders Severus 'B' were 5-4 winners at second-placed Castle Howard Ox.

Nella Marjsterek and Alison Walker put the home side in control, but the club side hit back to take the lead through Wendy Storr, Angie Kay and Dot Sellars.

Nikki Johnson levelled the tie and Michelle and Margaret Formstone edged Sev in front before Storr and Sellars completed the triumph.

Woolpack were denied a full house by Shoulder's final pair Hannah Smith and Vicky Sellers.

Wins for Heather Bulmer, Brenda Dawe, Laura Heward and Tracey Yeomans ensured Jubilee went into the pairs 4-2 ahead at Burton WMC.

Jubilee went on to win the match 6-3 despite replies from Linda Embleton and Angie Blackmore in the singles and then Embleton and Sandra Pallister in the pairs.

Janet Nelson, Margaret Yeomans, Christina Waddington, Debbie Witts and Charlotte Witts sealed victory for Leeman before Green Tree got their bearings. Kerry Humble started the Leeman revival too late.

Sun's Alice and Cris Turgoose secured match points at Marcia Grey.
