Riverside hit good home form to beat University Students ‘B’ 5-4.
Ollie Metcalf and Tom Dainty took three campus wins, but Riverside’s Ian McInlay and Andy Newby clinched the match.
Riverside had earlier visited Selby/Drax ‘A’ and lost 8-1. Scott Anderson and Dennis Bradley were in top form for Selby with three wins.
Clifton ‘C’ moved into second place in men’s two after a 9-0 home win over Tadcaster 86.
Colin Farrell and James Belham were in great form for the home side, taking three straight wins.
Selby Jubilee ‘A’ spoiled Shepherds’ good home form with a hard fought 5-4 win.
RI Tuesday/Thursday ‘C’ scored a 7-2 home win over St John, aided by three wins from Ian Sinker and Tan Hwakong.
RI Monday/Wednesday ‘A’ visited Selby/Drax in ladies one and won 5-4. Gayle Bradley and Alison Clay took three Selby wins, but Joy Wilson and Joyce Petch snatched the overall result.
Clifton ‘A’ scored a 6-3 away win over rivals RI Monday/Wednesday ‘B’ in mixed one. Daniel Woolfson and Karen Broster set the standard for the visitors with three wins.
Clifton ‘C’ hit good home form in mixed two with a 9-0 win over RI Tuesday/Thursday ‘A’. Melanie Knowles and Denis Cleary were the pick of the home side with three straight wins.
University Students ‘C’ still head mixed three after a 7-2 loss at second-placed Rowntree and a 7-2 win at Fulfordgate ‘A’. Joan Emmerson and Jeff Whittaker starred for the confectionery team with three narrow wins.
Huntington ‘A’ stayed in the promotion hunt with a 7-2 home win over Knavesmire. Mike Miller and Carolyn Arden responded well at third pairing with the best home return.
