HATS off to Simon Dyson for his supreme effort in golf’s Open Championship. He has proved beyond doubt that he is a world class golfer.

It is only a matter of time before he wins a golf major.

He looked very smart in his colour co-ordinated purple clothing. Simon has proved he is more than a match at golf for “fancy pants” Ian Poulter. I just hope he doesn’t try to compete with him in the fashion stakes.

Simon Dyson is a great credit to his mum and dad, his caddie brother, to Malton and Yorkshire, and his country.

Well done.
