AFTER the depressing display by England's so-called golden generation of our national sport, isn't it time not only for the manager but also Brian Barwick and Geoff Thompson of the FA to go as well.

Only then can England start to rebuild and regain not only the fans' backing but the nation's as a whole.

This must be the start of a new dawn, right from the top down to the players themselves who, hand on heart, admit that they are man to man as good as any player in world football.

But when they play for their national team they look like a bunch of clueless lemmings.

Right now English football is a laughing stock. It's time the players played with more passion and pride and put all their egos aside when on national duty.
