WILL someone tell York City manager Gary Mills that not all people who clap are being sarcastic when a player is substituted.

I sit in the enclosure at Bootham Crescent and am one of the few in my area who try to encourage the team as a whole.

When a City player comes off, I stand up and clap him regardless of whether he’s had a good game or not. I can also appreciate our opponents’ play.

But I would also like to say that if Jamie Reed had been given a starting berth (earlier) our team would have had more points and more games won.

York City are still capable of promotion come May.
