THE top two in York John Smith's Ladies' Darts League division one both suffered defeats in the latest round of fixtures.

Acomb Conservative Club fell 6-3 at Fulfordgate who had Dawn Exton, Michelle Britton (26), Di Moreland, Jill Reed and Tracey Farmeary - with a 23-dart game - starting them off well.

Tina Platt replied before Britton and mother Muriel sealed victory.

Burnholme lost 5-4 to visitors Leeman 'B' as Vicki Capes paired with Louise Warren to snatch match points after captain Heather Bulmer had hit 180.

The results have seen Fulfordgate leapfrog Holme into second spot, four points behind Acomb.

Edinburgh had a clean sweep in the pairs with Julie Stables and Emma Frankland sealing match points in a 7-2 win over Marcia 7-2. Joan Hunter hit two tons for Marcia.

Division two leaders Clockhouse had a clean sweep in the singles en route to a 7-2 win at Priory with Zoey Chadwick, Sammy Benton and Ellie Rankeillor hitting tons for Clock.

Karen Alton won the opener for Tramways in their ebbing 5-4 home win over Saddle who had mother-and-daughter pair Sharon and Alex Nelson replying along with Vicky McClaren.

Georgina Clayton and Becky Thompson levelled before Sue Tate and Linda Staveley edged Tramways in front and Alton linked up with Flossy Crampton to seal victory.

Angela Fletcher and Alice and daughters Cris and Linda Turgoose gave Clifton a great toehold in their 6-3 win at Leeman ‘A’.

Jackie Gray and Debbie Witts replied before the former joined Denise Pittock to edge Leaman ahead, but Alice/Linda Turgoose combined to seal victory with Fletcher/Sarah Evans adding a point.

King William enjoyed a 7-0 rout at New York in the White Rose Ladies' League.

New York had only three players available and could do nothing against the onslaught.

White Horse won 6-1 at New Earswick Bowls Club, likewise Clarence at home to Acomb Sports, who only had three players, while Ebor came from two down to beat Burton Lane Club 5-2.
