YORK Knavesmire Harriers' Stuart Grange doubled up for victories at the Blakey Blitz Fell Race and the Kirkbymoorside 10k.

On the tough Yorkshire fell course, Grange charged clear with over two miles left and finished in one hour and 28 minutes.

His superb form was also in evidence at Kirkbymoorside, where he tackled the hilly race in 35 minutes and ten seconds.

At the Blakey Blitz, Knavesmire's Tom Ratcliffe finished seventh overall with 1-35 and he was followed by Barry Atkinson (first male 55 in 1-44 and 20th overall), Richard Terrega (1-46), Oli Read (1-51) and Graham Gill (2-04).

The ever-improving Katie Smith finished third in the ladies race, clocking 1-50.

In the classic Yorkshire Three Peaks race, which covers 23 miles, Simon Collins enjoyed a respectable 245th-placed finish out of 767 runners.

Scout Atkin was second lady under-25 with 4-02 and Anwen Darlington eighth lady in 3-41.

At the Highland Fling in Scotland, along the West Highland Way, Sarah Attwood was the Mire`s sole runner and came home 181st with 10 hours and 53 minutes, while Hayley Clough (46-55) and Simon Pokey (54-59) completed the Bradford 10k.
