YORK swimmer James Wilby will be chasing his third Commonwealth Games medal tomorrow.
Having already won the 200metres breaststroke gold and taken silver in the 100m, Wilby has qualified for the final of 50m.
But standing in his way is the formidable figure of his England team-mate and world number one breaststroke swimmer Adam Peaty.
They both swam in the second semi-final yesterday when Peaty took first place in 26.49 with Wilby second in 27.4.
The two men occupied the same positions in Saturday’s 100m final.
Peaty touched first in a Commonwealth Games record of 68.84, while Wilby stopped the clock at 59.43.
