PHIL ELLIOT DICK of York Knavesmire Harriers running club was the first finisher in the male 40 category at the Spen 20 in West Yorkshire.
He finished the 20-mile course in fifth overall in two hours two minutes.
Other good runs from the Mire team included Jon Pinder in 28th (2-15), Jason Higgins in 42nd (2-22), Ewan Cochrane (2-31), Nik Tutil (2-34) and Clare Rowntree (2-41).
Club-mate Sarah Attwood again had success at the Retford Half Marathon, completing the course in 1-25 and finishing first in the ladies 35 category. Stef Durkin clocked 1-43.
On the fells, Knavesmire keep competing at the highest level with Jayson Cavill taking 35th place in the Edale Skyline race over 20 miles. Cavill finished in 3-03 while men’s captain, Chris Roberts, was 67th in 3-14.
