YORK & District Indoor Bowls Club will be holding open days on the coming weekends for anyone aged eight and above.
The free sessions will be on August 26, August 27, September 3, September 9 and September 10, all between 10am and 3pm. Coaches will be available to give advice and woods and shoes can be provided.

The Thanet Road club have already recruited new players this summer, which has enabled them to put extra teams into the upcoming Yorkshire League and Yorkshire Over-55s League competitions. They will now field three teams in each.
New team manager John Crowe wants to give chances to as many players as possible and is asking anyone who may be interested in improving their game, no matter how long they have been a member, to put their names down on the nomination sheets.
York IBC's league season officially starts on Monday, September 11.
York have been successful this summer with their Green team winning their section of the Yorkshire Summer League. They will compete in the finals, which are to be held at York on Saturday, September 2, with Doncaster Gold, Doncaster Silver and North Cave.
