LEADERS Fulfordgate raced 4-0 up en route to victory at Burnholme in York John Smith’s Ladies' Darts League division one.

Muriel Britton gamed in 23 darts, with Michelle Britton, Dawn Exton and Jill Reed also on target.

Marj Pearson and Sharon Neads hit back for the hosts but Exton combined with Muriel in the pairs to seal victory.

The hosts cleared up the remaining games.

Tracey Farmeary again led from the front, hitting two tons, to give Tramways the edge at Leeman ‘B’.

Julie Oliver replied, but Bev Harton, Gina Whittaker and Jayne Janes saw Tramways enter the pairs with a 4-2 advantage.

Maggie Bedingham/Tracey Yeomans narrowed the margin but Harton-Whittaker and Farmeary-Janes sealed a 6-3 result.

Edinburgh Arms beat visitors Priory 6-3 too. Anthea Jamieson, Donna Lynes and Emma Frankland won for the hosts and, although Ellen Platt, Sallie Richardson and Babs Harrison sent the teams into the pairs all square, Edinburgh captain Chris Lamb joined Frankland to set off their winning run in the pairs.

Tracy Watkinson sealed victory for Castle Howard Ox in the singles before visitors Marcia replied by winning the remaining games.

Slipper, the division two frontrunners, were only denied a full house against Leeman ‘A’ by Denise Pittock.

The game between Severus ‘B’ and Saddle Inn was closer.

Dot Sellars put Severus in front but the visitors turned it round through Kath Powell, Sharon Lyons and Sharon Nelson. Sharon Mountain narrowed the gap but it was restored by Vicky McClaren in the singles and she then partnered Lyons to seal match points.

The club side won the remaining pairs legs going down 5-4.

Clifton went into 4-0 up at Tramways through captain Cris Turgoose, mother Alice, Sarah Evans and Angela Fletcher. Becky Thompson replied and Karen Alton received a walkover as the visitors were a player short. But Cris Turgoose/Evans sealed victory.

Despite being a player short, Clockhouse made visitors Burton Stone fight for their points, Linda Embleton/Katrina Thackeray winning the decider for the visitors.
