TRACEY FARMEARY, the Tramways captain, was crowned York John Smith's Ladies Darts League individual champion after beating Fulfordgate's Michelle Britton 2-0 in the final.

Farmeary also won the Triples, but lost in two other finals.

Farmeary finished on 60 for 23 darts in the first leg of the individual showdown and included three tons and a double-16 closure for 21 darts to seal the title.

Britton, though, got her revenge in the Captain/Vice-Captains Cup, as she and Dawn Exton retained the trophy.

Farmeary, joined by Bev Harton, closed on 52 in a tight first 701 leg in which the teams traded high scores.

But Exton closed on 94 (treble 18, double one, double 19) to level and, while Farmeary hit two 140s and a ton in the decider, missed finishes cost the Tramways pair and Britton closed on double eight after Exton had hit a timely ton.

In the Triples, Farmeary, with daughter Lauren and Tina Platt, beat Burnholme trio Sarah Jackson, Jane Dobson and Sharon Neads.

Lauren and Platt hit the top scores before Platt closed on double one for the first leg.

Tracey then hit l4l and 140 and, while Jackson threw a 100 and Neads 108, the younger Farmeary closed on double four for her first title.

Tracey was joined in the Carol Perrett Combi Pairs final by Anita Adams of Nag's Head but they lost to Marcia's Faye Hawksby and Leeman's Vicki Capes.

Hawksby hit two centuries en route to beating Farmeary. Adams and Capes were steady scorers before Capes secured the title on double one after numerous misses by both players.

Britton and Exton, meanwhile, lost the Pairs final to Tramways' Harton and Gina Whittaker, another newcomer to the finals.

Exton just missed a ton finish and left Britton 20, which she hit first dart to go one up.

The Tramways duo rallied with Harton checking out on 19 double 16. Harton hit a ton with her next visit and later closed on double 16 with the Fulfordgate pairing sat on 40.

In last week's individual semi-finals, Tracey Farmeary beat Neads 2-0, finishing on double l6 both times, although Neads missed squaring the match by the width of a wire.

Fulfordgate captain Britton beat Shoulder's Anne Bass 2-0, scoring a 180 and 126 in a 19-darter and following with two tons and a 56 checkout.

In the Pairs semis, Britton and Exton scraped a 2-1 victory over Neads and Jackson.

The decider saw Jackson miss double-top for a 145 checkout, Britton then closing on double 10.

Harton and Whittaker beat Platt and Lauren Farmeary 2-0.

Platt hit 171 in the first leg but Harton checked out on double four. Platt hit 127 and 133 in the second but missed doubles were costly as Harton sealed the win on double 18.

Britton and Exton beat Burtonstone duo Sandra Pallister and Linda Embleton 2-0 in the Captain/Vice Captain's semis, while Harton and Farmeary beat Marcia's Hawksby and Chris Halnvard.

In the Triples semis, the two Farmearys and Platt beat Hawksby, Hayward and Sue Smith 2-0, while Jackson, Neads and Dobson saw off Burnholme club-mates Marj Pearson, Caroline Whittaker and Lynne Wilstrop 2-0.

In the Combi Pairs semis, Hawksby and Capes beat Whittaker and Saddle's Sharon Nelson, while Farmeary and Adams beat Muriel Britton and Liz Jackson.
