YORK's Stuart Limbert was beaten by Middlesbrough's Chris Hornby in the final of the latest ranking event in the Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championships.
Hornby checked out with legs of 16-18-21 and 17 against Limbert's 20 to record a 5-3 victory in the event five final at Huntington WMC. Both players hit maximums.
However, the rising star of the tournament is still Leighton Bennett, aged 11, from Lincoln.
Bennett made history last month by becoming the youngest player to represent his county.
He was beaten by Hornby at the semi-final stage but hit two 180s and checked out in 16 darts during his 4-3 defeat.
Ranking event six takes places tomorrow, Saturday March 25. Entries are taken on the day with registration closing at 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
Prize money is paid to players who reach the quarter-finals and there is also a cash prize also for the furthest lady and furthest youth (under 18 years of age) plus highest checkout.
