EASINGWOLD’S Georgia Pipes has been selected by Pentathlon GB to compete in this weekend's Swiss Women International in Bern.

The event, on Saturday, is a senior modern pentathlon ranking event, with Pipes having finished 12th in the 2015 competition.

Currently ranked seventh in the UK, the 20-year-old will be joined in a young GB team by Charlie Follett, 19, and 18-year-old international debutant Zoe Davison.

Pipes and Follett both train at Pentathlon GB’s National Training Centre at the University of Bath and will be making their second international appearances of the year having competed at the Hungarian Indoor Competition in January.

The tournament comprises a swimming at 6.15am, riding at 8.40am, fencing at 11.30am and a laser-run at 2.30pm.
