YORK bowlers were denied county glory in the Yorkshire Knockout finals at New Earswick IBC.
Alan Vowles lost 21-15 in the Senior Singles final to Featherstone's Alan Hampshire.
And the same scoreline befell Nigel McDonald, Neil McDonald, John Stroughair and David Stroughair in the Fours Final against Featherstone's K Earnshaw, J Webster, Tony Horobin and Mark Hughes.
Featherstone also went home with the Triples trophy, J Dunning, Jeff Normanton and John Whiteley beating R Atherton, Jim Moulds and Cliff Holmes (Hornsea) 23-12.
Stan Thompson (North Cave) won three titles himself.
He beat David Spilsbury (Harrogate) 21-12 in the Men's Singles, and joined A Cooke to pip D Blair and Phil Hill (Leeds) 21-20 after an extra end of a thrilling Men's Pairs contest.
Thompson and Jill Elliott then beat Beryl Alderson and Alan Jones (Redcar) 17-16 in the Mixed Pairs, Thompson securing his treble with the last wood of the match.
Matt Bell (Scarborough) beat Jim Firth (Harrogate) 2-0 in the Junior Singles.
The trophies were presented by Gordon Fratson, president of New Earswick IBC and the Yorkshire Seniors.
