YORK Indoor Bowls Club face a tough test as their quest to stay in Yorkshire League division one continues.

They take on leaders North Cave next up, on Saturday, starting at noon.

York ‘B’ are also in action and can retain their second division status with victory over Doncaster. Their game also starts at noon.

On Sunday, at 9.30am, York IBC host the Civil Service Triples qualifying games for the National Finals which are held in April.

Next Wednesday, the York club host four Area Finals for national competitions.

Action starts at noon as Phil Hargreaves’ Hornsea team meet John Whiteley’s Featherstone side in the Over-60s Fours.

Then at 6.30pm there is an all-York Triples final between Linda Harrison’s team and Helen Walker’s trio.

At the same time, Michael Mansell’s Selby side play Des Hall’s North Cave trio in the Triples final while Hornsea’s Carl Stoakes meets Featherstone’s Mark Hughes in the Pairs.
