IT was business as usual in division one of the Time Communications York & District Table Tennis League as Coneysthorpe 'A' made it six wins out of six.

Martin Lowe and James Rule again starred, this time in an 8-2 triumph over Bootham 'A'.

Paul Robertson and Filip Wojtkowiak were unbeaten as York RI 'A' recorded an 8-2 victory against their 'C' team.

Aidan Ranftler recorded a maximum and Milo Cupik a brace as Clarence 'A' edged a close encounter with Coneysthorpe 'B' 6-4. Paul Young played well for the villagers with two wins.

Trebles from Mick Wilcockson and Jane Cohen allowed York RI 'B' to defeat Clarence 'B' 8-2.

Bootham 'B' remained top of the second division after a treble from Gareth Bryning proved key in a 7-3 win against Strensall.

For the losers, John Temple played well to record a fine victory over Joe Suchecki.

A maximum from Ady McClaren made the difference as York RI 'E' defeated Poppleton 6-4.

Mark Blackburn starred as York RI 'D' posted an 8-2 victory against RI 'F', although the scoreline does not reflect the efforts of the latter with no fewer than five of the sets going the full distance.

Despite an unbeaten effort from student Martin Brown, Shepherds 'A' edged out University 'A' 6-4, while Bootham 'C' cruised to an 8-2 triumph over York RI 'G' with Rachel Greener and Richard Ingleby too strong.

In the third division, Ryedale@RI had unbeaten skipper John Freeman to thank as they posted a 6-4 victory over a battling Clarence 'E'.

Tom Lines played well for Clarence, overcoming both John Eastwood and Ed Wardman.

University 'A' leapt to the top of the table as they whitewashed Wigginton & Haxby 'A' 10-0.

Clarence CIU maintained their unbeaten start to the season, with a maximum haul from Peter Corner the highlight in a 7-3 win over Clarence 'D'.

Dave Simpson was untroubled as BT 'A' recorded a comfortable 8-2 victory over their 'B' team.

Division four leaders York RI I were held to a 5-5 draw by South Bank 'B' due to a fine treble from Graham Wrightson.

Clarence 'F' joined them at the top, with Steve Wands and Russ Scott both unbeaten as they thumped York RI 'J' 9-1.

Shepherds 'C' thrashed Bootham 'E' 9-1 thanks to maximums from Nigel Baker and Steve Webster. Dom McHugh was undefeated as Trustmarque defeated University 'C' 8-2. Thomas Swan played well to contribute two wins for the students.
