STUDENTS from a York martial arts school helped England to success in the Unified Martial Arts World Championships.
Dan Morgan, Finn Brookes, Billy Brookes, Samuel Harrison, and Ryan Garbutt travelled to Carrara Siere in Italy after being picked by the England World Kickboxing Association (WKA) team.
All attend the Craig Long martial arts school in Acomb and had raised their own funding to make the trip.
Morgan, 24, won two silver medals, both Finn and Billy Brookes won silver, while Harrison and Garbutt, 19, picked up bronze medals.
Over 5000 competitors from around the world took part in the event and the England team won a total of 36 medals.
