DAVID Lloyd’s Tony and Fiona White won the perfect 36 games against Fulford as their side continue to dominate division ten of the IT Sports Mixed Tennis League.

They were well supported by Phil Rigby and Miranda Stephenson, who won 28 games just one more than team-mates Malcolm and Michelle Cossey.

Appleton Roebuck are in the second promotion spot after a close match at Poppleton – despite the best efforts of their hosts' unbeaten Harry Bowden and Pat McKellar.

There's no change at the top of division one as Nikki Rohfling and Rebecca Turnbull ensured Poppleton another win, and stayed ahead of York firsts who had a hard-fought win against their second string.

Dunnington opened up their campaign by taking the points against Wigginton but were unable to beat Ben Walker and Eleanor Bradshaw; then entertained David Lloyd as Brad Swainston and Emma Loten turned in a first class performance winning 31 games to secure another two points.

Dunnington are the only side with a perfect playing record after staying at the top of division two led by the unbeaten Tom Loten and Rosie Todd in a close match at York.

The new partnership of Oliver Hicks and Hayley Banks led Heworth to another win against previously unbeaten Wetherby Castlegarth to go second. Bubwith have dropped to fourth place after their first loss at Poppleton, although Poppleton were unable to beat Liam Moore and Jill Rounce.

Sandra Pauw and Ian Macauley won 27 games for Rowntree Park as they earned their first points.

York are the new leaders of division four as hosts Wetherby Castlegarth were unable to defeat Reg Favell and Margaret Whitehead.

David Lloyd stay second on games difference despite losing their first match at neighbours Dunnington in a well-matched encounter.

Neil Johnson and Sue Pauer won their middle rubber 11-1 to ensure Poppleton’s first win and end Fulford’s perfect record.

Win of the week has to be Stillington’s taking the points against Bishopthorpe after conceding 24 games due to an injury in the first rubber to their third lady.

Aymeric Janer and Beth Barker won 28 games for York as they ended Riccall’s perfect record and moved into third place in division five.

Alne eased out of the bottom half of the table when Appleton Roebuck could find no answer to top scorers Charlie Price and Helen McDonald.

Two experienced sides met as Fulford earned their first points against Cawood led by Alex Herriott and Pam Campbell.

James Hunt and Jess Cawood inspired Wilberfoss to another win and kept them top of division six after the visit of Poppleton. They remain one point ahead of unbeaten Rufforth, for whom Paul Yoward and Denise Riley top scored against a good Copmanthorpe side.

The top two sides met in division seven with unbeaten Heworth going down by just two games to second placed Dunnington.

The match was all square going into the final rubber despite the best efforts of the hosts unbeaten Andy Cuttill and Chris Vis.

Cliffe probably fielded the oldest players of the week, but still managed a win against Stillington, opening with an unbeaten round.

Dan Russell and Kate Lewis led the way for Rufforth as they maintained their perfect record at Fulford but none of the pairings were able to beat Graham Cook and Charlotte O’Shea.

Dave Crane made his season debut along with Yvonne Petruso to win 31 games for Wigginton against Dunnington sixths – and stay in the promotion area.
