LEGIONS Gym martials arts club have moved to huge new surroundings and will be staging at open day on Saturday to show the public what they now have to offer.

Furthermore, a number of martial arts world champions will be in attendance, including Andy Howson, the WBC world champion in Muai Thai.

The club have left their 1,500 sq ft base at Tang Hall for new headquarters in Concorde Park, Clifton Moor, which measure a whopping 5,200 sq ft over two floors.

The move means they are now the biggest martial arts gym in York.

Co-founder Dave Phillips said classes at Concorde Park - for adults and children of all ages and experience - include Thai boxing, mixed martial arts, boxing, kick boxing and yoga. They also have new instructors including strength and conditioning coaches.

He added: "It's all at a new up-to-date facility and everyone is welcome to come down. People can meet instructors and have a look at what we have to offer."
