BOOTHAM 'A' and Coneysthorpe 'B' drew 5-5 in a hard fought contest in division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York & District Table Tennis League.

Jon Wooldridge and Jimmy Mills won two each for Bootham and combined to win the doubles 11-9 in the deciding set. Joel Wright and Charlie Allott won two each for the visitors. Richard Moss and Nathan Horsley were untroubled as York RI 'A' thrashed their 'C' team 9-1 and Clarence 'A' defeated York RI 'D' by the same scoreline with John Farmery and Aidan Ranftler too powerful.

Coneysthope 'A' continued their domination of the division with a 10-0 whitewashing of York RI 'B'.

In the second division, Steve Ayres made the difference as he powered Bootham 'D' to a fine 7-3 victory over Strensall.

Dave Norville picked up his first win of the season against Peter Harpham but this was the only positive as Shepherds 'A' thrashed BT 'A' 9-1 with Keith Webster and Will Beedham continuing their excellent recent form.

York RI 'F' secured a 5-5 draw against Bootham 'B' with Adam Ridley undefeated, while a treble from Chris Hatton was decisive as University 'A' defeated York RI 'E' 7-3.

Martin Hood and Graham Hatfield were on top form as runaway leaders Clarence 'B' defeated Ryedale@RI 8-2 and, in a busy week for the students, three wins from Ishan Bairoliya allowed University 'A' to share the spoils 5-5 with Bootham 'C'.

Clarence 'C' remain top of the third division as they edged a close encounter against Bootham 'E' 6-4.

Jan Suchecki maintained his 100 per cent record for the losers, with an excellent performance.

Paul Seeking turned in a stunning unbeaten effort to secure a 5-5 draw for Bootham 'F' against York RI 'H' and a two man University 'B' prevailed over a similarly depleted Burnholme 'A' 7-2 thanks to Frank Feng and captain Razvan Ababei.

Mike Surtees and Paul Kozyra were too good as Shepherds 'B' thumped Wigginton and Haxby 9-1 and a treble from Pete Taylor was the highlight as Clarence 'D' defeated BT 'B' 7-3. In their second game in consecutive nights, University 'B' thrashed York RI 'H' 9-1 with Jack Kelly and Razvan Ababei too strong.

A maximum from Phil Foster was key as Clarence 'E' defeated Clarence 'G' 8-2 to remain head of affairs in division four but rivals Clarence 'F' kept up the pressure as they whitewashed a depleted University 'C' 10-0.

Elsewhere, a treble from Mark Antrobus could not prevent his York RI 'J' sliding to a 7-3 reversal against York RI 'I' and Nigel Baker starred as Shepherds 'C' recorded a 7-3 victory over Trustmarque.
