YORK angler Lee Fisher is once again revelling in another massive catch.

Having bagged a 46lb mirror carp back in May, Clifton-based Fisher returned to the scene of his triumph - Erics Willows Lake in Castleford - and broke the scales with a huge haul.

With the weather deteriorating and winter arriving, Fisher did not have high expectations from his 48-hour expedition but on the final morning he felt a snag on his line.

"I hooked into what felt like a decent carp and, after a 20-minute battle through multiple weed beds, I finally netted the beast known as the 'big leather' at 43lb 8oz.

That's another massive fish for Yorkshire and my second 40lb plus Yorkshire carp of the year.

"I'm absolutely over the moon with my fishing this year and it will take some beating."
