MICHELLE Britton gamed in 18 darts, with scores of 140 and 2x100, as she led her Fulfordgate colleagues to a 7-2 win against York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one visitors Severus.

Britton also hit 121, 100 in the pairs with mother Muriel Britton also hitting the tons. Sue Clark gamed in 25 in a victory which kept Gate in top spot.

It's a place they share with Burnholme, who achieved the perfect scoreline at Severus ‘B’ as Sarah Jackson top-scored.

Tramways 'A' were trailing 2-0 after Anne Bass (24) and Denise Fowler gave Ox 'B' a solid start. But Sue Turpin put the home side on the scoresheet after a double one marathon.

Sandra Bruce restored the visitors' advantage but it was to be their last point. Jayne Janes and Tina Platt levelled and the home team cleaned up in the pairs.

Tramways 'A' left Marcia 'A' with a resounding 8-1 win. They were only prevented from a full house by the final Marcia pairing of Stacy Morris and Clair Cooper. Sue Lowery and Carol Layne were the club side's top scorers.

Julie Stables and Donna Lynes were Edinburgh's singles winners but visitors Marcia 'B' still took a 4-2 advantage into the pairs. Wins for Stables and Clair Jamieson, and Emma Frankland and Amanda Bevan, set up a decider which saw Marcia landlady Linda Welch combine with Sue Smith to snatch victory by the meanest of margins.

In division two, Clifton captain Cris Turgoose won the opening leg at Jubilee 'A'.

But Tracey Yeomans, Vicki Cape and opposing captain Heather Bulmer replied. Although Freda Harman and Alice Turgoose levelled the clash, Jubilee cleaned up in the pairs for a 6-3 win.

Shoulder and Leeman entered the pairs all square despite the former being a player light.

The pairing of Dawn Clarke and Margaret Yeomans edged Leeman in front but Doreen Johnstone and Ann Parkyn sent the game into a tie. It was up to the duo of Janet Nelson and Jackie Gray to secure the match points for Leeman.

Leaders Ox 'A' were in a good position as Abbie Scott, Caz and Nix Johnson and Linda Staveley won their singles against Acomb. Laura Gatenby and Rose Gray replied for the visitors but, into the pairs, Nix Johnson and Nella Majsterek sealed match points.

Sandra Pallister, Linda Embleton, Sheila Harrison and Dawn Barker gave Burton a 4-0 advantage at Green Tree. Sonya Love and Angie Blake narrowed the margin before Blake, paired with Kirsty Lambert, and colleagues Sandra Flintoft and Margaret Forth set up a deciding leg.

That saw Pallister and Barker combine to snatch victory for Burton.

Chris Peebles was Jubilee 'B's lone single success at Saddle whose Liz Jackson, Sharon Nelson, Kath Powell, Sharon Lyons and captain Doreen England secured the win.

It was a job well done as Jubilee came on strong when winning all the pairs games.
