RICHARD BUCK racked up a tenth 400 metres career run under 46 seconds when he starred at the AtleltiCAGeneve event in Switzerland.

The City of York Athletic Club runner clocked 45.99s after competing in Geneva.

Buck, 28, was performing in the 'B' race at the meeting and his sub-46 run constituted a season's best for the former Pickering-based athlete.

His result also compared well with the 'A' runners, with only Conrad Williams (45.06) and Jarryd Dunn (45.22) bettering Buck's time.

Shot putter Scott Lincoln's inexorable rise continued when he threw 18.08m to win his event in Geneva.

Just three centimetres behind his personal best, which he produced last month at Eton, the 22-year-old said there was still "so much more in the tank".

"Can't wait to build on today's performance," he wrote on Twitter as he continues to build on a campaign which has not seen him finish out of the top three in any of the nine competitions he has entered.

Lincoln is currently ranked number one in the UK rankings.
