NORTH Yorkshire bike racer Nick Wilkin has received a boost ahead of the 2015 season.
The Thirsk-based rider has won backing from his employer, Twisted Automotive, who will sponsor him to compete in the UK Gravity Enduro series.
Enduro racing is a form of mountain bike racing, which is a mix of downhill and cross country.
Wilkin said: “Twisted is a great company to work for. We all share a passion for creating great vehicles for our customers, and it is fantastic that they can support my passion for enduro racing.”
Wilkin has entered the PMBA, UK Gravity Enduro (UKGE), and the POC Scottish Enduro series. He will also race in Europe at the Shimano EPIC Enduro in France, a 100km single day ride.
Charles Fawcett, managing director of Twisted, said: “We share the highs and lows of Nick’s racing and wanted to support him in the best way we can.
“Everyone at Twisted is backing his coming season and we hope he does us all proud.”
