A QUARTET of City of York Athletic Club stars will line-up with the cream of national talent at this weekend's Sainsbury’s Indoor British Championships in Sheffield.

Multiple major championship medal winner Richard Buck runs in the 400 metres at the English Institute of Sport competition, which doubles at trials for the European Indoor Championships in Prague Buck is joined by rising sprint star Tom Somers, who runs in the 200 metres, shot put ace Scott Lincoln and 60 metre hurdler Chelsea Walker.

The 28-year-old Buck, who has five World and European Indoor Championship relay medals to his name, will be first on to the track for the 400 metre heats at 2pm on Saturday.

The semi-finals are scheduled for 6.20pm on Saturday, with the final on Sunday at 3.35pm.

Somers faces a possible trio of races on Sunday, with the 200 metre heats at noon, the semi-finals at 2pm and the final at 3.35pm.

The 17-year-old will be aiming to impress on the national stage after clocking 21.17 seconds in Vienna at the end of last month.

Lincoln, 21, is looking to continue his superb start to the indoor campaign, heading into Sunday's 11.30am final as the number one ranked athlete in the country for 2015.

Sprinter Chelsea Walker, 17, completes the City of York contingent, competing in the 60 metres hurdles heats at 1.30pm on Sunday. The final will be at 4.05pm.
