CASTLE Howard Ox 'B' doubled their win tally as a 22-dart leg from Sandra Bruce inspired them to a 6-3 success at Severus 'B' in division one of the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

Bruce, pictured, hit three tons in the match, while Severus' big-hitters were Angie Kaya, with a 134, and Wendy Storr, with a 118, while Sharon Mountain won both her games.

Tramways 'B' moved into pole position as they recovered from 2-0 down to beat hosts Edinburgh 6-3.

Claire Jamieson checked out on 91 to win the opener and Amanda Bevan doubled the lead, but Tramways fought back through Jane Janes, Tracey Farmeary and Gina Whittaker.

Julie Stables levelled, but the leaders won all the pairs legs.

Second-placed Fulfordgate were given a scare at Marcia 'A' before edging to a 5-4 win.

Murial Britton and Cara Britton gave Gate a solid start and, although Carol Perrett pulled one back with a 117 and a 111, Jill reed restored the advantage.

Marcia captain Di Moreland and Babs Harrison levelled, and Perrett teamed up with Clair Cooper to edge in front, but Reed and Cara Britton set up a decider for Michelle Britton and Anne Bass to snatch victory.

Sue Smith and Faye Hawksby gave Marcia 'B' a 2-0 lead at Tramways 'A', who replied through captain Sue Lowery and vice-captain Jo Hodges.

Barbara Russell edged Marcia in front, but Karen Alton levelled before a clean sweep in the pairs made it 6-3 to Tramways.

Castle Howard Ox 'A' went into the pairs at 3-3 against Severus 'A', with Sue Clark's 110 and 100 plus a win for Mavis Gallimore pulling Sev back from 3-1 down.

However, a clean sweep in the pairs sealed a 6-3 triumph for Ox.

Division two title-chasers Shoulder lost 5-4 at home to Jubilee 'A', with captain Heather Bulmer and Tracey Yeomans sealing the win.

That allowed Bootham Conservative Club to jump into top spot with a 5-4 win over Green Tree.

Tree's singles scorers were captain Alison Buckley, Sandra Flintoft and Kerry Humble, against Bootham's Jane Barnes, Jackie Clemit and Dot Trousdale.

Janine Cartwright and Margaret Forth put Tree ahead, but Barnes and Julia Hagyard levelled before Trousdale and captain Janet Foster won it for Bootham.

Jubilee 'B' wrapped up victory over Acomb in the singles with wins for Rosie Hattee, Anne Allinson, Emma Barker, Kelly Williams and captain Maggie Bedingham.

Sammie Endersby was Acomb's lone singles success in a 6-3 defeat.

Leeman and Clifton entered the pairs all square before Alice Turgoose and daughter Cris edged Clifton in front.

Debbie Witts and Jackie Gray took the match to a deciding leg, which was won by Clifton's Linda Turgoose and Dorothy Barker.
