YORK City Baths Club prospect Jason Robson underlined his potential by winning eight medals at ASA North East Regional Age Group Short Course Championships.
The 11-year-old was among 22 York City swimmers that competed in the competition at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre.
Robson, who will be a full member of the club’s national squad in 2015, recorded eight personal bests in nine events, plus six silver medals and two bronze medals.
There were also medals in the senior/junior sections for seasoned campaigners Lucy Nicholson, Annie Johnston and Katarina Bonner.
A PB earned Nicholson a silver medal in the 800 metres freestyle, while Johnston achieved a PB as she won a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.

Johnston finished sixth and seventh in the finals of the 50m breaststroke and 200m butterfly respectively.
Bonner’s PB secured a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly, while she recorded consecutive PBs in the heats and the finals of the 100m butterfly and 200m backstroke events.
Samuel Pickup and Sophie Brown maintained a 100 per cent PB return for their multiple events.
A club spokesman said: “We would like to congratulate every swimmer who qualified to participate at this event, and look forward to reporting on more of their achievements in the future.
“They are applauded for their achievement of a solid 59 per cent personal best record at this prestigious meet."
