SCHOOLBOY Callum Barrett is getting ready to rumble when live wrestling returns to Selby tomorrow.

The 16-year-old Selby High School pupil will make his ring debut on the Grapple Wrestling show at The Venue in Ousegate.

Organiser Paul Clarke said: “There will be an over the top rope Rumble on the show, which will feature the debut of Callum Barrett.

“He has been training for only a few months, but has shown such promise in that time that he has been given the opportunity to wrestle in front of his hometown audience.

“He will be thrown in at the deep end as there is enough experience and size in there to make Callum wish he’d never stepped into the ring.

“He will be sharing the ring with the likes of The Incredible Bulk Danny Binks and Fatt Smoke, who between them weigh close to 50st.”

The opening match will feature Sebb Strife against his former tag team partner, The Monk Liam Daly, before D@VE takes on Corporal Manners in a battle of the big men.

The first main feature bout will see Adam Slapper Rose and David Graves, known as The Burial, defend their tag team championship against Jay and Jake Silver, known as The Silver Age.

Talented youngster Joey Divine will face The Creep in a singles contest before Barrett’s debut in the Rumble.

The other feature bout will pit former British champion Big Steve against Uganda’s DW.

Clarke added: “We are back by popular demand after a successful first sell out show.

“The special Christmas extravaganza will be an early present for many fans who’re eager and hungry for some more professional wrestling action.

“After the last show in early November, revenge will be on the cards for many wrestlers waiting to get their hands on new found foes.”

Doors open at 2.30pm, with wrestling from 3pm. Tickets cost £6 and are available on the door or in advance from www.ringsideworld.co.uk
