THIRSK and Sowerby Harriers’ held their annual presentation of awards at their Christmas dinner.
Stephan Tomaszewski was the men’s club champion on maximum points ahead of injury-hit Rob Burn in second and Cameron Choules third.
Christine Burn was ladies’ club champion, with Marian Codling second and Faith Coy third.
Bryan Miller took the prize for most improved male and Claire Gillan was most improved female.
The Endeavour award went to Sonja Van Der Westhiusen, one of the club’s enthusiastic coaches. Despite the close of the year, Harriers’ thoughts are now turning to the annual Thirsk 10 Road Race and Wheelchair Race, and a 1.5 mile Fun Run, at Thirsk Racecourse on March 22.
Entries, paper or online, are now open and details of the race and all the club’s actitvities can be found at the thirskandsowerby harriers.co.uk website.
