MARCIA 'B' came from behind to beat division one newcomers Castle Howard Ox 'A' 7-2 in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

Wendy Sullivan gave Ox the lead but Marcia made home advantage count as Chris Hayward started a six-game winning run.

Sullivan was joined by Nella Majsterek as they doubled the visitors' tally, but Joan Hunter checked out on 70 in the pairs with Sharon Rishworth for Marcia.

Jo Hodges and Sue Lowery, pictured, hit the tons as Tramways 'A' took home a 6-3 result from neighbours Edinburgh.

Tramways 'B' had captain Tracey Farmeary hitting the tons, but the double eluded her as Jill Reed, Michelle Britton and Dawn Exton starred for Fulfordgate in a 5-4 win.

Exton and Lynn Thompson won a double one shoot-out to secure victory.

Denise Fowler hit the big scores for Castle Howard Ox 'B', but they were edged out 5-4 by Marcia 'A'.

Sandra Bruce won the opening leg for Ox, but Marcia replied through Clair Cooper, Pat Cairns, Di Moreland and Carol Perrett.

Cairns and Moreland combined to seal victory.

Sarah Jackson and Lynne Willstrop gave Burnholme a good start at Severus 'B', who responded through Jan Stewart, Sharon Mountain and Michelle Kelly.

Jane Dobson levelled and then teamed up with sister Jackson to edge the visitors back in front. However, Mountain and Sue Gillon set up a decider where Kelly and Stewart snatched the win.

Burton captain Linda Embleton produced a 70 bull check out, but her team could only add another point from Sandra Pallister in a 7-2 defeat at Saddle.

Mother and daughter Debbie and Charlotte Witts sealed victory for Leeman at Green Tree.

The teams were all-square entering the pairs, where Jackie Gray and Janet Nelson edged the visitors in front before the Witts struck.

Jackie Clemit and Julia Hagyard gave Bootham the lead at Jubilee 'B', who replied through Catherine Johns, Maggie Bedingham, Tracey Scurr and Emma Barker.

Bedingham and Eileen Haw secured match points.

Acomb were given a match-winning start against Jubilee 'A' by Kate Rankeillor, Laura Gatenby, Sammie Endersby, Rose Gray and Lisa Benton.

Louise Warren checked out on 60 foJubilee before Julie Oliver and Heather Bulmer doubled the tally.
