STEPHAN TOMASZEWSKI led an 11-strong Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers contingent at the tough Guy Fawkes 10 at Ripley Castle.

The event was race 15 out of 16 in the club championship series and Tomaszewski finished 37th in a time of one hour, seven minutes and 21 seconds.

Graham Robinson finished 143rd in 1:14-54, Rob Lickley was 159th in 1:16-09, Marc Davies came 221st in 1:19-20, Bryan Miller 252nd in 1:20-55, Alan Harman 360th in 1:25-16, Stephen Billings 457th in 1:30-00, Duncan Fothergill 466th in 1:30-40, Claire Gillan 543rd in 1:34-19, Christine Burn 695th in 1:43-29 and Ian Codling 773rd 1:52-14.

Four Harriers took part in the Guisborough Three Tops Fell Race, with Charlotte Wilton the first club finisher in 86th place in 92-00.

Hilary Coventry was 97th in 95-13, Fran Jeffery 115th in 108-24 and Alan Wikeley 123rd in 120-28.

Alan Harman recently took part in the Castles Half Marathon at Bamburgh Castle and finished 85th out of 216 in 1:52-50.
