May-day tribute to Leeds United's Don Revie

ALL Leeds United fans are invited to a “coming home” ceremony for legendary manager Don Revie whose statue will be unveiled on Lowfields Road next month.

The statue project has been a labour of love for Jim Cadman and sculptor Graham Ibbeson, and the grand unveiling on Saturday, May 5, to coincide with the club’s 40th anniversary of its FA Cup final success in beating Arsenal 1-0.

Many members of the Revie team – the manager died in 1989 – will be present and the 1972 FA Cup winning team will unveil the statue, which is situated on Lowfields Road opposite the new East Stand entrance at 11am.
