VICTORY would bring the perfect 100 up for Leeds United manager Simon Grayson tomorrow night.

The Leeds boss leads his team out at the Riverside stadium home of Middlesbrough in what will be his 100th game in charge of the Elland Road club.

Out of his previous 99 games Grayson has a 55-winning game record with just 24 losses and 20 draws.

The impressive record left club chairman Ken Bates to declare: “The percentage of victories is very rewarding and the record is very encouraging. He has been very successful.”

While Grayson is reaping plaudits for his tenure at Leeds after steering them into the npower Championship, his Boro counterpart Gordon Strachan – ironically a Leeds playing hero – is under deepening pressure at the Riverside.

Strachan spent six successful years as a player at Leeds in the 1990s, captaining them to top-flight title conquest in the last elite championship before the initiation of the Premier League.

But despite spending considerable cash on a flurry of leading Scottish players, Strachan, pictured above, has so far failed to fire the imagination of the Boro faithful.

If Grayson were to mark his century with a win in tomorrow night’s live televised game, Strachan’s future could well worsen.
