SORT it out is the fresh Leeds United mantra as they head into tomorrow’s home Yorkshire derby against Doncaster Rovers.

Over the last few seasons United have proved a bogey team to their south Yorkshire opponents, but Rovers - fighting a rearguard battle to hang on to Championship status - may feel they may not have a better chance of exorcising that hex.

Leeds are still figuring out what happened in the wake of Leeds’ 4-1 midweek crash at Bournemouth, where they trailed 1-0 inside the first top minutes and were 4-0 down before the lone reply from Ross McCormack.

Said a disconsolate Leeds boss Brian McDermott: “What chance have you got when you give away a goal so quickly.

“Then we’re three down before you know it.”

The Leeds chief admitted to being puzzled, adding: “I’ve never known a team like this.

“There is no excuse whatsoever for that first 15 or 20 minutes. We didn’t do what we had to do and we were up against it straight away.

“It’s bitterly disappointing to try and explain the performance. This is unique for me. We need to address it. It’s not right, we know that, and we need to sort it out very very quickly.”
