HARROGATE has been rocked by the death of former Town and Athletic player Lee Dutton.
The midfielder, who made 165 appearances for Town between 1991 and 1996, and who also starred as captain of neighbours Harrogate Railway Athletic, died this week.
Said Town manager Simon Weaver ahead of tomorrow’s Blue Square Bet North trip to Droylsden: “He had a fantastic track record at Town and his loyalty to the club was exemplary.
“Our condolences and sympathies go out to his family at this awful time.”
There was similar shock and sympathy at Dutton’s other club Railway.
The Rail are due to hold a minute’s silence before tomorrow’s Evo-Stik first division north game at home to Farsley.
